A walk in the lanes and across the fields.

A bit under the weather this week so I am taking you for a walk around my lanes and footpaths. ( on antibiotics so hopefully will feel better soon, after the sickness wears off!)
Lane edged with dry stone walls.
Across the field. Oil seed rape field - a streak of yellow.
There is an apple tree in blossom along this wooded path- someones discarded apple core from years ago? Full of bees.

 Dandelions in abundance.
 Cowslips - more rare.
The first May blossom ( hawthorn)
And on the first of May the bluebells at their most wow factor at Westonbirt.

  1. It was so interesting to see where you walk everyday. Love the blossoms as well. We are still blossom-less here, alas. Soon... I do hope you are feeling better soon.

  2. You have such grand walking paths. I love dandelions! We have a few bluebells in our garden (in Northern California on the coast); it would be a dream to see such an abundance. The color is so intense. Hope you're soon feeling much better!

    1. We are very lucky to live in the Cotswolds and close to so many green lanes. This year the flowers are fantastic everywhere- a combination of gentle warmth and plenty of rain. It's so great to share this with like minded souls around the world.

  3. Our wildflowers are in absolute riot this year ... the mealy blue sages looking for all the world like your last image of bluebells. I keep telling Don that our yard makes me think of an English cottage garden, and here's the proof!

Hoping the antibiotics have done their work ... and that all that pollen doesn't set you back.
