The one thing that fascinated me were the "coins" atop the stone walls. I looked for them everywhere and found them so intriguing. It is certainly "one" area for inspiration. Everywhere I went in the UK I found inspiring. The Lake District was enchanting.
We love it but best to avoid in the busy summer period. Now I tend to opt for the flatter walks but my husband looks longingly at the peaks1 A magical place for an artist to go and I hope to make some work inspired by the area.
Absolutely, she is a positive presence there and we love going to Hilltop and seeing her work in the gallery nearby but this time we were more North West in the Lake District so more in Wordsworth country!
