Bewick Swans

Pictures from Slimbridge W.W.T. last Sunday. Very cold, strong wind but bright. Bewick Swans on the Rushy lake. Numerous birds on the tack piece above. A flock of Barnacle geese on the field by the Severn. All wild birds, some have made long journeys to be here. They have come for the weather and the food. Like a holiday for them. In late Feb/March they will be off again so I am trying to fit in visits when I can despite the cold.
I have been working on a magazine article for Stitch magazine, I can't show any pictures they will be for the article.
