Little landscapes

Water landscape - inspired by Slimbridge WWT.-16 x 5.5cms

Autumn landscape, inspired by the view from the top floor at Newark Park, Glos. 16 x 7cms

Island, inspired by last years holiday on the Isles of Scilly. 12 x 9cms.

Herons -work in progress

At our monthly Brunel Broderers meeting we always look at work in progress and it is the best part of the meeting , seeing what everyone is working on. I took along this bit- a work in progress. Last week I think I took out more stitching than I put into anything. This isn't unusual. Just part of the process. They were surprised-I guess I don't talk about the anguish much or the bits that don't work out. Anyway these herons were looking more like cartoon herons so lots of unpicking! I want to catch the heron attitudes without the caricature.

Inside out envelopes

I am making a book for my inside out envelopes, supporting them with thicker paper. I might not stitch all the pages together until after the exhibition in August because they will be easier to see in the glass display case if they are separate.
